Sunset at Puerto Banús

We had just spent a fantastic day in Gibraltar and were driving back to Malaga. As it was only 8 p.m. we decided to make a stop at Puerto Banus. After leaving the car in a parking hall we walked down to the marina and breakwater.

Road trip to Gibraltar

It was a sunny Friday morning when we hopped on the rented Skoda Fabian (awful car really!) and started driving the AP-7 toward Gibraltar. We left the car in La Linea, which is the nearest town on the Spanish side, and walked over the border.

Mijas the white village

On a nice, sunny, Thursday morning we hopped on a rental car, at Malaga airport, and drove of to what has become one of the first things I show my guests from abroad. Mijas is a traditional white Andalucían village, in the middle of the mountain, looking over the Mediterranean sea and the cities of Benalmadena and Fuengerola.

A night stroll in Malaga

After returning from a trip to northern Europe and London I decided to take a short evening stroll on the town and enjoy the nice warm summer breeze. At 9 p.m. after sundown it was still a nice 25C outside.

I'll have the pizza - at Trattoria Lorenzo

Since my old favorite Italian restaurant in Malaga apparently has been closed, I ventured over to another old acquaintance, Trattoria Lorenzo, today. The restaurant is located just opposite of Plaza de la Merced. I ended up having the lasagna, although I originally intended to go there for an Italian style thin-bottomed pizza.
